A VOICE FOR GAZA

It is week two of the most recent Israeli war against Gaza City, Gaza Palestine. Conveniently and wickedly weeks before the Israeli elections it is mentioned. So the World is in a recession, a Global recession and what not of a better way to stir up the Economy but by starting up a War…because we don’t have enough with Iraq having been invaded. That War was undeclared on the Iraqis, it was a war crime and it is still taking place, 6 or so years later! Why have we still not done anything about that. What about Afghanistan and with Sudan and etc.

While the world looked to Iran and the threats of a War beginning with Iran, Israel the entire time was planning and scheming and plotting a War in fact once again against the Gazans. That’s the truth, there is no lie to that!

What one has to consider is this; Israel bases its entire argument that it is “only trying to protect itself and its right to live in peace etc; however, we need not lose focus of the very fact that Israel has herself so defined on Palestinian Land! Forget about whatever you have heard on CNN or FOX News, even forget the name Hamas for a minute, and think about that. On her Land? Yes and this, well this is not a secret, its public knowledge. Israel has been breaching International Laws for decades! It virtually does simply exactly what it wants and has Americas full support and back up! Despite the atrocities of War happening to the Palestinian people, America has veto’d every Security Council Initiative put forth by the European Union etc. Why one must ask?

I woke this morning to disturbing news to say the least. I awoke and went straight to the news. And I don’t watch tv, I don’t subscribe to “Programming”, no thanks! I got online and to my horror I was catching the Israelis AIRFORCE flying above dumping the City with pamphlets urging the Palestinians to get out! Oh no I thought. They’re going in.

You see, the Israelis send their papers down along with hundreds of tonnes of bombs, but they neglected to acknowledge that there was NO WHERE FOR THEM TO GO FOR SHELTER, for safety, or for them to hide. To shelter their children from the explosions raining down on the city, There was no where to go for them because they blockaded them inside and confined them to the very WAR they have now placed upon their front step. They closed the sea off to her and have already destroyed a University, Police Station, Prison, Multiple Mosques, homes, cars children, nearing the 500 mark for Civilians. Not to mention that was only during what the Israelis called “PHASE ONE” of their operation. Phase 2 of course was the most recent ground invasion that the International community PROTESTED in the thousands against. Where were the voices than? Why were the Israelis allowed to invade Palestine as did the Americans in Iraq. THIS IS URBAN WARFARE. They are in the City of Gaza in the thousands.

I am afraid of the complacency in our generation. The baby boomer generation is phasing out and our generation blindly consumes, pays no attention to World issues and many which only get the information they go by and live by from what they see on the television. No other sources other than the television. And they don’t even question it. When you own the means of the media you are in an awful place of power! Television is single-handedly the biggest form of mind control in history. Are we not afraid of the fact that we have no voice? Does this not alarm any of you reading this? Are we that barbaric?

Many of us cannot relate to War because we have not ever had to live through something like that. But the Palestinians have! Oh the children! Imagine for one minute that you are inside of a house in Gaza City right now. You peak out your windows and you see soldiers in the night walking up and down your street. I CAN’T imagine what those poor women and children and men and boys and innocent people are feeling! What they see. What they hear. Trying to calm the sheer terror from your Children! I wonder how many sleep at night. Do you know that they the Gazans have pleaded to the International Community to help them? Should they really HAVE TO? It saddens me that we have become almost desensitized to the material we see. But every life, EVERY life is as precious as yours and as mine.

We the world owe them an apology and we owe them our immediate actions and support and aid and assistance and attention and NOW! We have been turning our eye from this situation for far too long. I plead with each and every one out there to do what is in you means to do. Think Globally act locally. Get involved. Find others in movements.
